The backbone of a project.....structures...
For many technology projects, the structure underpins all aspects of the design. For some projects the structure will be the difference between success and failure.
At aCADmy, our experience of cutting edge aerospace structures give us a fantastic opportunity to apply innovative thinking in development of your project.
We use a combination of calculation and Finite Element Analysis to study the loads that will be present and are able to optimise for efficiency, practicality, manufacturing, cost and function.
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a very powerful tool that allows designers to test “virtual” components and structures within a computer program. Many modern engineering projects rely heavily on FEA, examples range from the Airbus A380 to surgical spinal implants.
Designs can be simulated and optimised before any prototype is built. The resulting savings in cost and time are huge, allowing faster and more assured pathway to prototype and production.
Key benefits include:
- Verify whether a design will work and behave the way you intend
- Easily Investigate the merits of a range of designs
- Test radical design options without wasting money on physical prototypes
- Determine the safety of a design
- Document and share results
The ease with which designs may be modified and tested within an FEA environment allows designers to consider far more options than would be possible through prototyping and often a more innovative and efficient design will be possible.
